Indian Techies Develop Jarvis OS, inspired by Iron Man

Taking a cue from Marvel Comics’ superhero Iron Man, two young Indian technologists, Chirag Dewan from Delhi and Himanshu Vaishnav of Jaipur, have developed Jarvis, an operating system that is fully automated and learns as it goes. It will interact with the user through voice and gestures along with traditional input methods.

According to Dewan, from the origin of operating systems, everyone has been following the same thing. All of them have the same internal structure with a similar skin and flesh. With Jarvis the duo are not trying to change the paradigm, but the user experience.

At the core of Jarvis is artificial intelligence, which the duo think can be included in the system as a component. This is intended to make the OS perform better as it learns. With the inclusion of unconventional inputs as the standard, the user will communicate with the system as if it is an individual.

Dewan and Vaishnav’s startup Jarvis Corp has set a deadline of 18 months from the time they get the first level of funding to come out with the first version. During this period they plan to make the SDK available to developers so that they can make applications to run on the new OS. Read more in the report by Nandagopal Rajan.

  1. This is the precise blog for anyone who wants to search out out about this topic. You notice so much it’s almost laborious to argue with you (not that I actually would need to! HaHa). You definitely put a brand new spin on a topic that’s been written about for years. Nice stuff, just nice!

  2. I have recently started a web site, the information you provide on this site has helped me greatly. Thank you for all of your time and work. “Character is much easier kept than recovered” by Thomas Paine.
